Click the upper Browse... button to select your QuickTime file you would like to convert.
Browse for the necessary QuickTime file in the opened Windows Explorer Window. Since 2002, Apple has started using MPEG-4 video encoding on its QT streams, producing much better, if not excellent, video quality.

Click MORE button and select the list TO ASF placed along on the top of the interface. It means you want to convert QuickTime files you have selected to ASF formats.

Click the drop-down list next to ASF profile, you can select a preset profile for the output Advanced Streaming Format video.
Click Edit... button to set more details, if you want to customize the parameters of your selected profile.

ASF stands for Advanced Streaming Format. ASF is a highly compressed file format that contains streaming video, audio like WMV. When an ASF file is played back, content is delivered to you as a continuous flow of data. You no longer have to wait for the whole video and audio file to fully download before you start to view them. So, this file format is specially designed to run on networks. When an AVI file is compressed and converted to an .asf file, the file begins playing after only a few seconds. ASF files can be played back with the Windows Media Player (provided the appropriate codec installed), streamed with Windows Media Services or optionally packaged with Windows Media Rights Manager.
